The Polinators-Objective
Our objective was to create a large scale mural that shows the three main pollinators in present North America: bees, hummingbirds and monarch butterflies. We believe that a mural can work as a reminder of the fragility of these species we all depend upon while we live in ignorance regarding this subject. By emphasizing the importance and challenges of these insects, a large painting will raise awareness and create environmental literacy within the community. The walls proposed for the mural are visible from the Skytrain line, thus many viewers will be able to receive the message while commuting. We strongly believe in the power of public art as the message of the pollinators can reach a large audience. Through art, we can give a voice to the nature.
